About the Role
As the Supervisor, Search, you will be a thought and strategic leader within the Decoded Advertising group. You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Search buyers based in NYC. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of the space to take a step back and help design the right strategies, processes, and training programs to maximize the performance of the team. In everything you do, you will be data driven at heart, leveraging core statistical principles to help us separate the signal from the noise, and ensure decisions are backed with analytical rigor.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage cutting edge media buying expertise to drive best in class Paid Search results for F500 performance brands.
- Turn business problems into business solutions using data, automation, and statistics.
- Question the status quo of our client's strategies and performance, and strive to deliver orders of magnitude gains via innovation
- Leverage statistical principles and design tests to improve our understanding of how and why users interact with our ads and ultimately convert on our campaigns
- Provide senior presence in all forms of client interaction with day-to-day managers
About You
The essentials:
- 4+ years of experience buying media at scale against performance KPIs in Search, with a record of delivering material YoY growth to mature search programs and annual spends over $1MM
- You can use strong and persuasive communication when discussing paid search performance with clients and your team
- ‘Driven’ and ‘Innovative’ are attributes commonly associated with you
- Not afraid to get in the weeds, but still also able to identify the larger direction of the team & paid search industry.
- Define, monitor, and analyze trends in clients’ KPIs
- Develop both short & long-term paid search strategies based on client-specific goals
- Actively test and analyze keywords, advertising copy, landing pages, campaign types and positioning to drive results in line with the client's goals
- Communicate performance results and strategy recommendations to clients clearly & secure buy-in from decision-makers
- Create slides with good design & strong storytelling for clients
- Rigorous and sound analytical process rooted in statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, probability distributions, and time series analysis.
- Ability to identify performance trends with strong optimization recommendations and testing opportunities
- Ability to lead a team of analysts executing campaigns, overseeing their day-to-day work, and providing strategic and operational support
- Experience working on B2B/lead generation clients is a plus
- Prior experience working with offline conversion imports and value-based bidding is highly preferred
- SA360 experience is a plus
- Performance Max experience is preferred
