About the Role

As a Senior Strategist, you’ll drive strategic clarity for a diverse portfolio of local and regional client accounts, with a primary focus on the Dutch market alongside regional and global scopes. Based within our Strategy function, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, bridging brand strategy with social-first thinking while embedding cutting-edge AI tools and emerging technologies into our strategic delivery to ensure our work stays future-ready. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted senior strategic advisor across a cross-portfolio of regional and global client accounts, building strong relationships that bring clarity and confidence.
  • Shape long-term strategies that align client ambition with our capabilities and commercial opportunities, while proactively identifying ways to expand our footprint.
  • Define best practices for how strategy shows up across branding engagements and social-first briefs, ensuring it consistently fuels creative breakthroughs.
  • Champion and actively embed AI tools within the strategy process—from insight generation and generative research to brief writing and output evaluation.
  • Lead the development and delivery of social strategies across platforms, managing everything from content strategy through to community and performance thinking.
  • Serve as a key strategic voice across multiple accounts and markets, navigating cultural nuance and stakeholder complexity with confidence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data, creative, planning, and client success teams to deliver integrated, insight-led briefs and effective scopes of work.
  • Lead, inspire, and educate teammates on cultural, industry, and platform insights, helping to build a culture of curiosity and strategic excellence.
  • Develop thought leadership around themes relevant to client categories, culture, and emerging consumer behaviours.

 

About You

The essentials:

  • Language Skills: Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and spoken) is essential for this role.
  • Strategic Experience: Proven experience in both brand strategy and social-first strategy, with a strong portfolio across disciplines.
  • Account Scope: Demonstrable experience working on regional and global accounts, navigating complexity across multiple markets and stakeholders.
  • Tech-Forward Mindset: Active interest in or hands-on experience integrating AI tools into the strategy process.
  • Client Presence: Proven ability to lead senior client relationships, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex business environments.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, equally comfortable in a creative briefing and a client strategy session.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Experience in social media platform strategy, including content, community, and performance thinking across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • A strong understanding of social commerce, creator/influencer ecosystems, and emerging social formats.
  • Experience collaborating seamlessly with data, planning, and creative teams to deliver integrated strategies.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to comfortably handle data and translate insights into strategic direction.
