In this supporting Finance Business Partner position at Monks, you are a trusted finance expert supporting one or more client account leads and a Finance Business Partner Lead. You will understand the client team’s business priorities, drive continuous financial improvements and maintain reporting accuracy for the business. This is a role where you’ll partner across the global finance and operations teams as an advocate for process and an integrator of teams. You will be a liaison between regional invoicing teams and your client team, reporting into a Finance Business Partner Lead based in the US. Our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on new opportunities, with a natural aptitude for collaboration and a strong grounding in finance. 

In this role you will: 

• Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and close to guide strategic and tactical decision making
• Specific activities will span everything from: MSA/SOW contract reviewing, client invoicing, project financial tracking, employee utilization tracking, vendor management and reconciliation, variance commentary writing, margin analysis, completing client/internal templates
• Analyze information and deliver insights to make initiatives more efficient and effective 
• Support key account leaders through analytics, reporting, and regular meetings 
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
• Accurately track actual versus forecasted expenses
• Be a finance and operations system expert

Experience you already have:

• 4-6 years of experience in FP&A or similar Finance/Accounting position
• Accounting/Finance degree with knowledge of accounting principles and applications; CPA equivalent or audit experience a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google spreadsheets 
• Self-driven and able to complete month end tasks with minimal oversight 
• Significant ability to analyze data with exceptional clarity and insights 
• Problem solver who can consistently think outside of the box to develop solutions to accounting/reporting challenges 
• Action-oriented person who can identify process efficiencies and implement them quickly 
• Familiar with accounting software
• Familiar with data query/data visualization tools like Tableau
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
