About the Role

Note: The roles within our Media Operations organization can cross-discipline, therefore we do not specify channels in our titles. If you have experience/interest in Search, Social, Programmatic, or any combination of these, please feel free to apply!

The Media Operations team is focused on hands-on-keyboard activation of digital channels - inclusive of tagging, trafficking, buying, & more - and how & where to use the right digital platforms, and use them well, to achieve media and business goals. We ensure consistency, governance, and support around platform usage and activation activities, and aid in all ongoing building, buying, optimization, and reporting efforts.

In this role, you can expect to support, optimize and report on media campaigns for a portfolio of clients as part of a broader team. Successful team members in this role will demonstrate the ability to proactively learn new skills, communicate consistently with team members, and support the team’s media efforts for clients.

Media.Monks includes general platform and process training within our onboarding approach for all new hires, and we have a repository of additional training materials for more specialized skills available for all team members. 

Note: This is considered a remote/hybrid role, and you can expect to work with clients and other team members located across the US and/or internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

Build your technical media skills and your ability to both collaborate with internal team members and manage client communications & relationships. You’ll be a key part of client teams and the management of our end-to-end engagements and relationships with clients themselves.

  • Assist in campaign planning, builds, and ongoing management of our clients’ media efforts
  • Assist in client communications and updates, review requests and questions, and troubleshoot issues on platforms and media execution
  • Partner with team members to ensure a high standard of work and communication, including quality assurance against all media execution
  • Work effectively with team members to complete day-to-day tasks for both clients and internal efforts
  • Collaborate with peers to receive and apply learnings, from both internal and external sources
  • Assist in execution on media platforms across Programmatic, Social, and Search channels such as, but not limited to…
    • Programmatic DSPs: DV360, TTD, Amazon DSP, etc.
    • Ad Servers: Campaign Manager
    • Social Buying Platforms: Meta, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit
    • Search Engines & Search Management Platforms: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360
  • Utilize internal tools and processes for day-to-day work and task completion, e.g. Slack, GSuite, Salesforce, Workday, etc as assigned by your manager

Key Skills & Qualifications:

We’re looking for enthusiastic team members who are willing and eager to develop technical proficiency, and also work within a constantly changing team environment with many internal and external stakeholders while conducting themselves in a consistently professional and collaborative manner.

  • Basic understanding of the digital marketing landscape 
  • Ability to learn platform functionality and a basic understanding of at least two in-scope platforms relevant to your team portfolio. 
    • Note: Media.Monks includes general platform training within our onboarding approach and we have a repository of additional training materials for more specialized skills. 
  • Ability to identify explicitly stated problems, roadblocks, and next steps
  • Ability to learn to identify helpful data and inputs to inform requested/expected analyses with guidance by:
  • Ability to leverage Excel/Google Sheets to manipulate data by stitching cells together with enduring formulas and creating and modifying pivot table
  • Ability to analyze data for trends and outliers with regular guidance
  • Ability to contribute to and follow along with internal meetings, complete with agendas, and pre-rehearsed talk tracks
  • Ability to identify appropriate materials (or other resources) to support or amplify presentations
  • Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders, to synthesize and recap conversations, and to learn to read common social cues during client calls and client meetings 
  • Strong organizational skills to manage one-off tasks and larger or longer initiatives, and to manage your own work in conjunction with team needs and priorities
  • Strong self and social awareness skills, demonstrating an ability to learn to moderate your own personal state and stress and recognize how to best work with clients, teams, and individual peers

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range$53,000—$65,000 CAD
