Now, about the opportunity: Editorial Manager at Monks Mexico

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Editorial Leadership: Acts as the editorial and strategic lead for "Always On" operations, overseeing narrative vision, creative consistency, and social media performance.
  • Data-Driven Creativity: Operates in a hybrid role spanning strategy, data, and creativity, ensuring every editorial decision is informed by insights, cultural context, and business objectives.

  • Strategic Translation: Translates social strategy and brand objectives (defined alongside the client) into clear editorial priorities, narrative arcs, and actionable directions for the team.

  • Team Management: Directly leads and manages Content Managers and Community Managers, ensuring alignment between storytelling, creative execution, and audience engagement.

  • Editorial Oversight: Supervises editorial planning, validating creative approaches, formats, and messaging prior to production, with a steadfast focus on quality, craft, and cultural relevance.

  • Performance Optimization: Interprets quantitative and qualitative data in collaboration with the Data team to optimize content, define narrative focus, and adjust editorial strategy in real-time.

  • Trend Forecasting: Identifies cultural, platform, and audience behavior trends to determine when and how to activate reactive content or opportunistic brand moments.

  • Brand Stewardship: Ensures that tone of voice, brand identity, and content pillars remain consistent across all markets and platforms.

  • Creative Excellence: Elevates the creative standard of Always On output, fostering a culture centered on impact, shareability, and brand building.
