About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives—owning end-to-end execution while partnering with program leadership to ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations. You’ll also play a key role in casting, aligning the right mix of skills and experience to each project and helping teams operate efficiently at scale. This is an initial 3-month position, and being based in Bogotá, Colombia is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects end-to-end from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure
- Define project scope, success criteria, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reporting cadences
- Manage budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial monitoring to support profitability
- Support vendor payment coordination and assist in proposal creation as needed
- Identify, document, and mitigate project risks using a formal risk register
- Facilitate decision-making, change control processes, and stakeholder alignment
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage resource allocation, including casting for optimal team composition
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and senior leadership, providing clear communication and executive-level reporting
- Enforce project governance, documentation standards, and delivery quality practices
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement practices to strengthen collaboration and execution

About You
Qualifications & Skills
- 6+ years of project management experience in tech/software environments, including 3+ years in a senior or lead role
- Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall, with the ability to tailor hybrid delivery models
- Solid understanding of the SDLC, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and related collaboration/project tracking tools
- Demonstrated experience with budget management, cost controls, forecasting, and financial monitoring
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including executive-facing communication and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as PMP, SAFe Agilist, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or PRINCE2
- Experience mentoring junior PMs and leading through influence in distributed/remote teams.
