About the Role

As a Linux Support Engineer, you’ll help operate and evolve the performance-critical Linux infrastructure that powers a global electronic trading ecosystem. You’ll focus on always-on reliability, automation-first operations, and deep system tuning—partnering closely with application, network, and security teams to keep production stable, scalable, and predictable under heavy market activity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize global production Linux server environments to support 24/7 availability and fault tolerance
  • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps practices using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform
  • Support and scale hybrid cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and on-prem virtualization platforms (KVM, oVirt, VMware)
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters supporting microservices-based applications
  • Perform deep-dive Linux performance tuning and troubleshooting across CPU, memory, disk, and network I/O bottlenecks
  • Build and maintain observability capabilities, including monitoring/alerting with Prometheus and Grafana
  • Partner with application support, network engineering, and security teams to resolve complex incidents and implement infrastructure changes
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant Linux engineering / systems administration experience in production environments
  • Strong expertise with Linux distributions such as RHEL/CentOS and/or Debian-based systems
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Go, and/or Shell
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management (Ansible and/or Puppet) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing concepts, and firewall management in multi-tenant environments
  • Experience supporting and optimizing databases such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and/or Redis
  • Strong collaboration, incident response, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
