About the Role
As an Associate Creative Director, Copy for one of the largest automotive companies in the world, you'll partner with designers, account managers, creative directors, strategists, and other creatives to deliver a variety of compelling materials to ensure cohesive storytelling across all platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker and exceptional wordsmith who can guide creative teams towards excellence while also actively participating in hands-on creative development and production. This pivotal position requires you to navigate multiple responsibilities, serving as both creator and supervisor simultaneously. You bring a progressive creative instinct and positivity, working effectively in teams with a low-ego approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Creative Directors and leadership to elevate client brand expression to achieve creative excellence.
- Oversee adaptation of copy from English to Spanish across various deliverables—from social content and web copy to display advertising and e-commerce
- Direct talent in VO sessions
- Present ideas, build client relationships, and confidently lead creative conversations.
- Proactively respond to feedback (both written and verbal), and follow up with creative and account teams throughout each project.
- Oversee creative development, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines
- Guide the team in the creation of high-quality, impactful work across all deliverables from campaigns to assets at scale and experiential work.
- Provide clear, focused feedback to creative teams regarding work, department, and agency improvements.
- Mentor junior creatives by offering constructive feedback and promoting best practices.
- Thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment, effectively prioritizing tasks and maintaining a poised and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional copywriting experience in advertising and marketing.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and collaboration software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Slack.
- Experience with AI processes and tools is a plus.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
- Thrive under pressure, adapting to changing priorities and consistently meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience in the automotive and/or production industries is highly desired.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a proven track record of excellent work across multiple formats (digital, video, social, etc.) is required.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
Salary Range: $100,000—$110,000 USD
