About the Role 

As a Freelance Community Manager, you’ll drive the social media presence and community engagement for a global leader in the semiconductor and microchip industry. You will act as the voice of a brand that powers next-generation technology, translating complex, cutting-edge innovation into engaging, human-centric social content. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work in a fast-paced, high-tech B2B landscape.

  • Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract
  • Location: Amsterdam-based (with native-level Dutch and fluent English)

Responsibilities:

  • Post and schedule content across various social media platforms.
  • Manage and foster daily community interactions, responding to users in a timely and on-brand manner.
  • Create and supervise engaging, highly relevant social media content.
  • Edit, proofread, and elevate posts written by other contributors.
  • Translate global copy into the local language and draft compelling, original local copy from scratch.
  • Optimise the social media content style to ensure maximum engagement and brand consistency.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Project Managers, Content Managers, and Designers.
  • Collaborate with regional content managers to develop tailored local content ideas.
  • Partner with the data team to extract community insights, tracking KPIs to optimize future performance.
  • Provide structured community feedback and sentiment reports to management and stakeholders.

About You

The essentials:

  • Proven freelance work experience as a Community Manager, Social Media Specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong background in copywriting with excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Native-level Dutch and a high proficiency/fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Hands-on experience with social media management tools and a deep understanding of platform algorithms.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, track, and report on relevant community KPIs.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well under tight freelance deadlines.
  • A critical thinker with sharp attention to detail who thrives both independently and as a team player.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Prior experience working with clients in the semiconductor, microchip, or deep-tech industries.
  • Experience working with luxury or premium B2B brands.
