About the Role
As a Senior SEO Strategist specialising in Content SEO, you will lead the development and execution of SEO strategies built on data and research for high-profile clients. You’ll manage client accounts independently, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including UX, Content, and Development.
Your strategic mindset will be key in shaping content frameworks that improve search visibility, authority, and organic growth. We seek someone with a broad understanding of SEO, understanding that organic performance extends beyond traditional search engines to platforms like YouTube and Amazon. You should be able to translate and apply your skills and knowledge across different organic channels, ensuring holistic digital performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive content-focused SEO strategies for large-scale organisations.
- Manage client relationships autonomously, providing strategic direction and performance insights.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research, content audits, and competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with content creators, UX designers, and developers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all digital touchpoints.
- Utilise industry tools (e.g., Semrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog) to analyse performance, identify opportunities, and track KPIs.
- Translate SEO strategies to different organic channels, optimising content for platforms like YouTube, Amazon, and Newsfeeds.
- Mentor and influence team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, contributing thought leadership on the evolution of SEO and multi-channel organic performance.
About You
The essentials:
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in content-focused SEO, preferably in an agency or consultancy environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client accounts independently, with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful SEO strategies for large organisations.
- Broad understanding of organic performance across various channels, with the ability to adapt SEO strategies to platforms beyond search engines.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SEO tools like Semrush, Google Search Console, and AHREF.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing and motivating both clients and internal teams.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, with a clear point of view on emerging SEO trends and best practices.
