The Website Operations Manager, reporting to the Director of Marketing, is responsible for managing the Monks website and related digital properties to drive new business growth. Key duties include overseeing website strategy (content, structure, features, testing), collaborating with development, marketing, and analytics teams, and managing content governance by setting best practices and training content contributors.

Responsibilities:

Own the Monks collection of websites to ensure they are managed appropriately.

    • This includes s4capital.com, legacy websites, product websites, and others.
  • Drive the strategic direction of the Monks website.
    • Lead the ongoing maintenance and evolution of existing content, such as the homepage, to reflect necessary messaging updates.
    • Offer strategic guidance on content organization and presentation across the website to effectively meet company objectives (e.g., growth).
    • Proactively identify, propose, and strategize new website features and tools that support overarching goals, collaborating with key stakeholders (design, analytics, developers) on conceptualization, planning, and execution.
    • Manage the website testing program, developing or advising on A/B tests to optimize performance against business goals, and providing regular performance reports to stakeholders.

Advise and collaborate with the web developer team.

    • Meet with developers and advise on priorities within sprints to best meet business goals and optimize resources.
    • Submit and monitor Jira tickets as needed.

Serve as the primary advisor for website content contributors, providing indirect management and oversight.

    • Develop and implement best practices and training resources for website content production within the CMS. This includes checklists, training videos, and live training sessions.
    • Keep the team informed and educated on new developments relevant to their work.
    • Conduct reviews and approve contributor-built pages before publishing, as necessary.
    • Mature the content governance program, which may involve defining user proficiency standards, establishing role hierarchies, or implementing other features to support distributed content creation.

Produce additional pages on the website, such as case studies, blog articles, landing pages, and pitch pages, as needed.

    • Adapt copy and visuals provided by content contributors by choosing components and building in the CMS.
    • Collaborate with designers to produce custom images when necessary, and fit for format.
    • Build and publish approved content within the CMS.
    • Ensure our SEO and AEO strategies are optimized within pages–and when necessary–adapt or rewrite copy within new content additions.

Vet and coordinate new web opportunities outside of the main website as needed.

    • Includes microsite requests, one-off pages, etc.
    • Collaborate with the requesting team to make sure the content is of Monks standards prior to publishing.
  • Conversion Path & Lead Flow Optimization
    • Partner with Marketing Ops to ensure smooth integration across websites and Hubspot.
    • Work with the LATAM Analytics team to make sure our website tracking (like Google Analytics 4) is set up correctly, including how we label links, so we collect good, reliable data.
    • Manage privacy requirements in line with the privacy team's audits.
    • Oversee the smooth transfer of information between our website platform and our marketing system. Make sure we can track potential customer interest, follow rules about website cookies, and use tracking codes correctly for all 5 regions.

About You

The essentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, web development or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in website and/or content management.
  • Strong understanding of content management systems like Drupal or Wordpress.
  • Ability to interpret data into actionable insights and suggestions.
  • Proven strategic leadership experience to direct the evolution of a website.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing, vetting, and negotiating stakeholder requests.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to work across a variety of teams, including engineer-minded developers and fresh-faced CMS beginners.

Not a Must but a Plus:

  • Understanding of website management on a more technical layer, so as to understand and talk the developers’ language more closely.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Hubspot, Google Analytics 4, UTM parameters, BigQuery Data Lakes, Supermetrics, and/or OneTrust.
