About the role

.Monks is looking for a Content Manager to develop monthly editorial content calendars for the European region as well as the local markets. As a social-first creative, you’ll need to craft ideas that demonstrate cultural relevance and resonance that stretch across social platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

• Ideate platform-native social content that is timely, trend-aware, and culturally relevant with each channel.
• Collaborate closely with Strategy and Design teams to shape creative concepts, particularly for special campaigns, ensuring copy, visuals, and cultural references work cohesively for the brand and market.
• Build deep knowledge of client products, audiences, and cultural context to inform relevant, social-first creative ideas.

• Spot social opportunities within wider creative ideas.
• Refine and adapt content based on feedback, performance insights, and platform evolution.
• Identify social opportunities within broader creative ideas and elevate them through a social-first lens.
• Collaborate on the development of a monthly social editorial calendar, aligned with the wider content and campaign roadmap.
• Respond to client briefs with innovative, copy-led ideas while proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen brand storytelling on social.
• Present creative concepts clearly and confidently to clients and internal teams, articulating the strategic and cultural rationale behind each idea.
• Understand performance metrics and use them to inform future creative development.
• Work alongside and support Community Managers to react and respond to social conversations appropriately.
• Collaborate effectively within a global, cross-functional team, managing workflows across time zones and remote environments.

 

About you

 

The essentials:

• 3+ years of proven work experience as a social-first creative for an agency / brand.

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in developing or implementing social strategies.
• A keen eye on emerging social trends across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
• Experience of crafting reactive content in response to social trends.
• A keen eye for visual details and accuracy.
• A deep understanding of consumer behaviour and adapting content plans to address the needs of the community.
• A strong team player, open to feedback and comfortable working in fast-paced workflows.
• Experience in editing and design is a bonus.
