Showcasing the speed of Gemini through a fan-fueled experiment.
By tapping into the high-performance world of Formula 1, Google sought to demonstrate the speed and creative intelligence of Nano Banana, Gemini’s AI image generator and photo editor. To do so, they needed compelling social content that showcased the model’s creative power in real-time. But with a challenging four-week deadline and a single 30-minute session with McLaren F1 driver Oscar Piastri, the challenge was significant.
Our answer was “Oscar Piastri’s Dream Track,” a social-first campaign that established Gemini as the essential co-driver in the creative process.
A social-first race from digital prompts to physical reality.
The campaign launched with a high-speed experiment where Oscar created his personal dream track. Captured for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, the video featured the driver using specific Nano Banana prompts to visualize the circuit. We then brought this AI-generated vision to life using floor projection, creating a larger-than-life track complete with Singapore Grand Prix Easter eggs that Oscar raced using a radio control car.
The original video served as the catalyst for a multi-phase rollout: it functioned as a call to action for influencers to invite fans to use the same prompts to design and submit their own dream tracks, turning it into a community-wide creative challenge.
Accelerating creativity with an agentic AI ecosystem.
To execute this campaign in a fraction of the usual time, we leaned heavily on the capabilities of Gemini and Monks.Flow, our agentic AI ecosystem for marketing orchestration. Monks.Flow excels at revealing deep audience insights and behaviors, so we fed its agents with detailed data on Singapore F1, McLaren and Oscar Piastri. This allowed us to generate unique creative angles that served as the foundation for our brainstorming.
Finally, we deployed AI models to scout the perfect creators and to reverse-engineer Gemini Nano Banana, testing the specific prompts required to get the best visual outputs. The rigorous prompt engineering phase enabled us to not only guide Oscar on set but also teach influencers and fans exactly how to prompt the tool to design their own high-quality tracks.
Driving high-speed engagement and community creativity.
The results show how an AI-first approach can drive high-quality engagement. Amassing 162 million total views and 138+ million total impressions, we successfully transformed a technical product demo into a viral, community-led creative session.
