About the Role

Media Technology and Reselling play a critical role at Monks in enabling clients to access, adopt, and scale leading advertising technologies. As Associate Director, you will sit at the centre, helping clients unlock value from platforms through a combination of technical expertise, advisory, and operational excellence. In this role, you will own the entire journey from how we go to market to pitch and sell new clients, to upskilling and upselling clients across the entire marketing infrastructure to drive long-term growth.

As Associate Director, Media Technology and Resale, you will own a client portfolio and serve as a strategic and operational partner for clients' use of media technologies. This hands-on role has a strong commercial and advisory focus, balancing platform expertise with client management and growth opportunities. You will lead from the front, working closely with specialists to ensure seamless onboarding, adoption, and ongoing platform use, while guiding clients on best practices and ways to maximise value. This role will work closely with our growth and commercial teams to update and improve our go-to-market narrative to pitch and win new clients, participating in pitches and leading the Media Technology narrative and delivery.

Alongside delivery, you will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services, and contributing to the portfolio's overall growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring successful adoption and ongoing utilisation of media technologies such as Google Marketing Platform, Amazon, The Trade Desk etc.
  • Manage a team of Media Technology specialists, overseeing daily client delivery, account growth performance, and portfolio development.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, providing consultative guidance on platform usage, setup, and best practices
  • Support onboarding, implementation, and governance of media platforms, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Work closely with specialists to deliver high-quality operational support, troubleshoot issues, and remove blockers
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships through expanded platform usage, services, or solutions
  • Working closely with external tech partners like Google to run regular JBP’s and QBR’s to align on collaborative client growth plans
  • Partner with internal teams to align on client needs, ensuring a seamless and cohesive experience across capabilities
  • Maintain strong oversight of operational processes, including QA, platform governance, billing, and forecasting
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of internal processes, frameworks, and best practices
  • Support commercial discussions, including scoping, pricing, and client planning, where relevant

 

About You

The essentials:

  • 7+ years of experience working at an agency or consultancy, closely involved in Media Tech platforms like Google Marketing Platform and The Trade Desk.
  • Strong experience working with media and marketing technologies (e.g., ad servers, DSPs, search or social platforms, analytics platforms)
  • A solid understanding of how media technology is implemented, managed, and scaled within client organisations
  • Experience in a client-facing role, with the ability to provide clear, confident, and practical guidance
  • Commercial awareness, with experience in identifying opportunities to grow accounts or expand services
  • Ability to balance hands-on platform knowledge with a more strategic, consultative approach
  • Experience working with or supporting specialists, with a focus on improving output and delivery standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in navigating technical and operational challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on client success and long-term value
