We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Vice President of Sales with experience selling digital media technology and services. You will be responsible for managing and growing the Canadian media and DSP resale services and proactively reaching out to hunt and close new business, while also ensuring client satisfaction/retention. In addition, the lead will own all media account services across the existing business.
The ideal candidate has a history of managing teams and hitting sales quotas with expert technical knowledge, especially in demand side platforms. This role will work closely with the internal operations teams and North American Media Pillar leadership, as well as manage external vendor and partner relationships to close leads and win new business for Monks.
Responsibilities
- Develop & execute a partner-driven growth strategy across major DSPs
- Align growth strategies with strategic internal product and capability investments as defined by Media Leadership
- Identify new business opportunities across target industries to drive outbound business growth
- Help develop new go-to-market strategies within the Canadian market
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies using a consultative approach and mindset to penetrate new markets and expand our existing client base
- Manage the existing Canadian media account business and align account growth targets against upsells and cross-sells
Sales & Business Development
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise clients, prospects, and partners
- Drive new business sales cycles from lead generation through deal close
- Maintain relationships post-deal to develop an ongoing services roadmap
Strategic Partnerships
- Collaborate with Media partners to drive joint marketing and sales initiatives, resulting in increased business opportunities
- Stay up to date on Media partner products (Google, Amazon, Trade Desk, and more), Monks capabilities, industry developments, and the competitive landscape
About You
The essentials:
• 10+ years of experience exceeding growth targets with an agency, adtech or martech provider
• Track record of driving sales growth with a focus on enterprise-level clients
• Extensive experience in business development in a consulting environment
• Strong knowledge of the adtech/martech landscape – products, services and industry trends
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute growth strategies
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue generation
Not a must, but a plus:
• Active relationship with Google, Amazon or The Trade Desk

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
